I arrived at 8:25 am (15 minutes after the phone call) to find office closed and a note on the door saying "Out of the office, l'll be back at 9:20."
I've looked to rent from these clowns on two occasions. In both instances, I had the experience frequently cited by other reviewers: No one answers the damn phone. Moreover, the pickup/delivery service seems to be ad-hoc; that is, if they feel like picking you up, they will. If they don't want to bother venturing out of the office, you're on your own.
This place absolutely sucks. It really is a wonder how they stay open. My guess is they use the constant business from APG, and if you are not in that group, you'll get the bottom of the barrel.

Most customers may not, but I value my money. As such, on both occasions, I cancelled my reservation with these jokers and just went down to BWI. Yes, it is more expensive. Yes, it is more inconvenient if you operate in Balt/Harford/Cecil counties. However, if you are venturing out in someone else's car, the last thing you need is to be in an unreliable piece of junk that is low on fluids, hasn't been serviced, smells like cigarette smoke, etc. From my experience, Hertz locations at airports are on their game far more often than not, so just get a MARC train down and skip over these jokers.
Had a rental arranged a month prior due to an accident w a deer. Get to dealership and drop my car off, I'm immediately looked at strange when I announce Hertz. Told it will be about 45 minute to hour wait. Wow! So I sit, and sit, and sit. Then to my surprise I get a call from the Manager at the dealership stating that the driver was just in an accident and could they set up for the rental the next day? Ummmmm so I'm supposed to sleep at the dealership overnight? How do I get to and from work the next day and a ride back to the dealership? Crickets no response. Never mind the dealership politely called my insurance company and arranged with another rental company. I'd rather pay out of pocket next time and wait for a reimbursement. Never EVER rent from Hertz! The reviews explain enough. BTW: If there were no stars I would have given u that! Avoid this company like the plague!
My experiences has always been satisfy and on target.. The staff has been very helpful in providing my needs.. I do want to mention that this facility should be more of a hub center for hertz in this northeast region of Maryland, Delaware and PA…Specially when you have a military facility in the area.. Thank You Hertz!!
NEVER AGAIN. No wonder they conduct their business in a mobile home in a parking lot...
I don't blame Hertz, because this is one of those crappy franchises that you see across most service industries: Some joker sets up shop using the good name of a global corporation, then does everything he/she can to cut costs in addition to provide third-world customer service (Actually, that's an insult to customer service reps in the third world).
I waited until 9:30 am and nobody showed up! So l have to leave...
One star just because l can't choose ZERO stars. Horrible customer service. I called to confirm reservation and told them l was on my way.
If it isn't worth you going to BWI, go to Enterprise in Aberdeen. Better service, cars in better condition, and (at least as far as their weekend specials) better prices.
These people have absolutely no intention on improving so long as suckers keep coming back, so stop coming back. Even APG won't be enough to sustain them forever.
