I've never had a bad meal here. Their white sauce which apparently is a very East Coast thing is super delicious & their salsa always tastes very fresh. While Fiesta Grill is my normal spot, this place will always leave you satisfied.
What ticked me off the most was lack of communication and information from the server.
I told him, you should tell people this!
Went to this La Tolteca for the first time, and and will be last.
This is our go to family spot. Love love love La Tolteca! Fresh and authentic Mexican cuisine, awesome servers, great atmosphere, and Margaritas!

We order from lunch menu selection.
At checkout, we got charged EXTRA ($2.99) for after lunch, since it was Saturday, and even worse, another family member got charged for each cup of tea, and myself, for a 2nd cup of coffee!! ($2.69 a cup)
The food came out extremely quick, like it was premade and microwaved. My son's taco was soggy to the point it fell apart. They replaced it in a matter of minutes. The servers have a language barrier but he was friendly.
I've had better and worse Mexican food than here.
Was with a group of 10. Service was excellent. Food arrived in a timely manner. Some dishes had cooled. Happens with a large group at a busy lunch time. Most importantly, all dishes were served together and all orders were correct.
Ask ahead at this restaurant.
I asked the server about this, and he said there's no free refills.
