The hotel had a friendly staff and a half way decent pool. The room however needed major repair in the bathroom as there was water damage above the extremely dated light fixture which was repaired very poorly. The beds were small and the room had a funny odor. We did not expect much when we booked the hotel and it delivered to our expectations. The rooms seemed more like hourly rooms than nightly rooms. A lawn mower would do a lot for the property. So would new carpet, beds without stains (we looked beneath the sheets) good news- bed bug free! new paint and some soundproofing (our room was next to the ice machine- thank you to the person at 6:15am on a Sunday who needed ice) The dumpster could afford a dumping- had many old beds and furniture stacked up. The staff was pleasant and did the job. We would not stay again.
I had up until this point stayed at this hotel very frequently for work and haven't had any problems until now. I enen thought I had a friendly relationship with the owners who own a bunch of hotels in Aberdeen, and even helped him clear his lot 2 years ago during a snow storm for free when his plow guy broke down. Anyway I had a reservation to check in here on Thurs 8/31 and unfortunately had car trouble myself and wasn't able to make my reservation. At 5am from the cab of the rollback who towed my car home I called them to let them know what happened and I wouldn't be able to.male it. I was informed that they had already charged my card for the full amount of the stay as a no show. I have been calling them 2-3 times every day since leaving messages for the owner to contact me about the charge and to try to get him to reverse it for 4 days now without a return call or being able to talk to anyone who could do anything. I understand if you don't cancel by 4pm the day of the reservation they can charge you anyway but most hotels don't actually adhere to that except if they are fully booked or on weekends or holidays but this was a mid week stay and I'm a guest that has stayed there regularly and given them a lot of money. To not even call me back is wrong and I won't stay there again because of it
Wish I could give it less than one star, infested with bed bugs this hotel isnt worth the price unless you want to sleep with bed bugs biting you all night. Tried to contact the hotel to make them aware of the issue no answer time and time again and the mailbox is full that should give you a hint at what your looking at getting into. Please dont stay here especially with little ones find a safer cleaner hotel.
Love it there..Prices are Great and the Rooms are very Clean...Staff is great as well as the HouseKeepers...Great Service
Employees were so nice. Room was clean, direct tv, great place to stop on way up north.
